Castelnou Aparthotel is clean, spacious and within easy walking distance of the centre of Ghent.
The staff are very helpful and friendly. Breakfasts are fresh and generous.
We hired bicycles from the hotel, which was great for exploring the city.

It all felt very modern and stylish. The room was excellently appointed with a really good range of utensils, a hob and a microwave, though we did not use them. Beds were comfortable and the bathroom was well-appointed. Breakfast was fine, with sausages and bacon for Brits who get fed up with continental-style breakfasts and the bar looked well stocked. The hotel is just a few yards outside Ghent's pedestrian zone, but we found a (paid) parking space almost outside the door. Internet access was good.
